Miller graduates US Army Infantry Boot Camp Aug. 4
COREY JAKE MILLER Corey Jake Miller, husband of Linda Miller and father of Cole Miller, graduated Army Infantry Boot Camp from Fort Benning, Georgia on August 4, 2006. This graduation was preceded by a Turning Blue Ceremony on August 3, at which Miller received his blue cord.
While in boot camp, Miller was part of Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 58th Infantry Regiment. He underwent 14 weeks of rigorous training called OSUT (One Station Unit Training) which combines BT (Basic Training) with AIT (Advanced Individual Training) in one location at Fort Benning. Through this challenging training, Miller became not only a soldier but an infantryman.
Miller's MOS is currently Baumholder, Germany where he is a member of the 1st Armored Division, 2nd Battalion, 6th Infantry Regiment. His unit is currently deployed in Iraq, but he is eagerly awaiting their return in November and the arrival of his wife and son.
Corey is the son of Jake and Jeanne Miller of Lincolnton.
