Rev. Noland Arrowood
Rev. Noland Arrowood, 65, of Chamberlain Ferry Road, entered into rest on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, at Faith Temple of Lincolnton with Revs. Addison Belangia and Jack Crane officiating. Burial followed in Martin's Crossroads Church Cemetery.
Rev. Arrowood was a native of Rutherford County, N.C. and was the son of the late Merrill Wilson Arrowood and the late Katie Lee Blankenship Arrowood. He had lived in Cedartown, Ga. prior to moving to Lincolnton 23 years ago. Rev. Arrowood was former pastor of Lula Congregational Holiness of Lula, Ga., Cedartown Congregational Holiness, Faith Tabernacle of Cedartown and Faith Temple of Lincolnton. He was also owner and operator of Arrowood Equipment. Survivors include his wife of 46
years, Linda E. Arrowood; two sons Byron Arrowood and wife, Trina of Lincolnton and Brett Arrowood and wife, Kathy of Harlem, Ga.; one daughter, Tonya A. Burt and husband, Mark of Lincolnton; four brothers, Rev. Roland Arrowood of Colbert, Ga., Donald Arrowood, Alton Arrowood and Merrill Arrowood of Rutherfordton, N.C.; two sisters, Faye Pritchard and Nora Pritchard, also of Rutherfordton, N.C.; and seven grandchildren, Taylor Arrowood, Whitley Arrowood, Trey Burt, Alec Burt, Abigail Burt, Evan Burt and Katy Arrowood.
Pallbearers were David Ivey, Travis Reed, Ron Johnson, Sam Elam, Bob Wilson, Terrell Edmunds, Jamie Arrowood and Asa Arrowood.
