Put your positive attitude to work
Stella Crosby

Be dependable. Go to work on time and ready to work while you're on the job. Be courteous. Everyone wants be treated with respect. A smile and friendly manner will go a long way, too.

Be honest. If you've made a mistake, admit it and show that you can learn from the experience.

Cooperate with others. Make an effort to get along with co-workers. You'll increase the quality of team work.

Show initiative. Suggest new ways to do things more productively without being asked.

Don't procrastinate. Get tough assignments done first, if possible. Save easier jobs for later in the day when you're more likely to be tired.

Upgrade your skills. Take a course or read a book to learn new skills or polish old ones. You'll get extra insight and new ideas.

Be conscientious. Show that you can be relied upon to work without constant supervision.

Try to solve problems. Make an effort to solve problems on your own but don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it.

Accept challenges. Work hard and take an optimistic approach to new tasks.
