The three 4-H delegates from Lincoln County attending the Georgia Senior 4-H council in June were (Lr): Kitty Ball, Sarah Fonseca and Ebony Cullars. Three local 4-H'ers, Kitty Ball, Ebony Cullars and Sarah Fonseca, were among 697 delegates from across the state that attended the Georgia Senior 4-H Council in June.

The theme was Life's Hard..Get a Helmet and Get Prepared. Workshops led by the University of Georgia College of Agriculture and Environmental Science, Family and Consumer Science and the Office of Admissions worked to prepare students for admissions.

Other sessions led by UGA faculty members guided participants through sessions considering different areas of Georgia and how youth are similar in different areas of our vast state.

The highlight of the event was election of the 2006 2007 Georgia 4-H Board of Directors. Kitty Ball was elected by her peers as Northeast District Representative to the Georgia 4-H Board where she will participate in 4-H programming for the entire state. This is quite an achievement and we are honored to have Kitty serve in this prestigious position.
