FBLA students attend National Leadership Conference in Tenn.

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) students Kimber Kirkland, LCHS FBLA president; Janelle Dukes, Georgia Region IV vice president; and Kitty Ball, Public Speaking I competitor attended the FBLA National Leadership Conference at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee from June 27th through July 3rd with adviser Janet Dukes.

During the conference, the students attended the Institute for Leaders, a two day intense leadership training, as well as several other workshops offered during the week, participated in a mini March of Dimes walk, visited downtown Nashville, and attended the Grand Ole Opry. All three students were designated as voting delegates for the southern region.

Janelle fulfilled her duties as one of Georgia's state representative cheering on all Georgia competitors. Kitty Ball competed against 39 other states' Public Speaking I winners and won 3rd place in the Nation. In addition to her plaque, Kitty received $300 from a national sponsor, Dale Carnegie Training and $200 from Georgia FBLA for her accomplishment.
