4-H club holds annual awards banquet April 18
Some winners at the 33rd annual 4-H awards banquet were, (l-r): Jaylen Savage, Sarah Herrick, Eddie Boyd, Jasmine Benning, Sherne'A Jones, and Kathryn Poss. The theme for this year's banquet, "4-H Your Golden Ticket," was adapted by the 4-H County Council from the movie "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory." The cafeteria was decorated with a large golden ticket, and candy decorations which included peppermint canes, lollipops and bubble gum. The centerpieces for the tables were created using chocolate candies. Ms. Ricki Remsen and Mrs. Marsha Kirkland were instrumental in helping the 4-H'ers construct and display the eye-catching decorations.
Guests enjoyed a PowerPoint presentation, assembled by Mr. Bill Bufford, depicting all the activities the club has been involved in over the past year. Mr Bufford also assembled a separate presentation featuring Miss Kitty Ball, Senior Northeast District Board President, and Miss Ebony Cullars, Senior Northeast District Vice President, this past year.
During the evening, many 4-H'ers were honored at the Cloverleaf, Junior and Senior levels for their participation in county, district, and state 4H activities. Awards were presented to the following individuals:

At the conclusion of the evening, Martha Partridge, acting county extension coordinator, recognized 4-H volunteers for their help, and support during the past year. The honorees were, Bill Bufford, Marsha Kirkland, Melynda Poss and Ricki Remsen.
Mrs. Partridge also thanked the following organizations for helping make the 4-H program a success: the Lincoln County School System and the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners. She also thanked Mrs. Peggy Fuller, extension office secretary and Mrs. Regina 4-H program assistant and presented them each with a token of her gratitude.
