The "Memories of the Lewis Family Open House" will take place on Saturday, May 6, from 9 until 10:30 a.m. at the Lewis Family Pavilion, located in the Lincoln County Historical Park on Lumber Street.

Sponsored by the Lincoln County Historical Society and the LincolntonLincoln County Chamber of Commerce, the event is being held in conjunction with the 19th Annual Lewis Family Homecoming & Bluegrass Festival.

During the open house, guests may enjoy coffee and apple fritters while chatting with members of the Lewis

Family, listening to the group's early recordings, and watching videos of the Lewis Family's weekly television show which was broadcast on WJBFTV in Augusta for 38 years.

The open house will also feature an exhibit of Lewis Family memorabilia, including awards, vintage instruments, and so forth.

As a special treat, "Little Roy" Lewis and Lizzie Long are scheduled to perform at the event.
