Roger C. Boyle, of Lincolnton, has been selected to participate in the National Student Leadership Conference (NSLC), an extraordinary leadership development program for outstanding high school students. While attending the NSLC, Roger will have the opportunity to study, experience, and develop the skills and traits that define and identify a leader. These young leaders return to their homes and schools with increased potential and newly developed abilities that enable them to make a positive difference in their communities.

Through participation in this program, students develop their abilities to think on their feet, to engage in critical analysis, and to communicate effectively skills that will serve them well as leaders in high school, college, and throughout their lives. The conference will provide the students with a unique learning environment that encourages not only academic achievement, but also diversity, cooperation and social responsibility.

He will attend the six day conference in June 2006 which is being held on the campus of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Roger is presently in the tenth grade and is the son of Leslie Dittmer-Boyle and Tom Boyle of Lincolnton.
