AMBER JEAN JENKINS AND LANCE GABRIEL KELLY Mr. and Mrs. W. Patrick Jenkins of Durham, N.C., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amber Jean, to Lance Gabriel Kelly, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle E. Kelly, Sr., of Lincolnton.

Amber is the granddaughter of Jean and the late Jennings Douglas Kellum of Jacksonville, N.C. and the late Marie and Wade Jenkins of Wilmington, N.C. She is a 2002 graduate of Durham School of the Arts and is attending North Carolina State University earning a degree in landscape maintenance.

Lance is the grandson of Kurt and the late Betha Gross of Cape Coral, Fla. and the late Dorothy and Hiram Kelly of San Bernardino, Calif. He is a 1997 graduate of Lincoln County High School and a 2002 graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts in Computer Animation and is currently employed by Logistics Services International in Jacksonville, N.C., where he is currently developing training programs for the U.S. Marine Corps for pilots and mechanics of the new Osprey helicopter.

The wedding will take place at Topsail Beach, N.C. on June 3, 2006. They will honeymoon in the Hawaiian Islands and will reside in Jacksonville, N.C.
