United States Senator Johnny Isakson has announced that an "open office day" for his constituents will be held Friday, April 28, from 2 until 4 p.m. at the Lincoln County Courthouse.

Derek Norton, the senator's district director for North Georgia, and Nancy Bobbitt, field representative for the CSRA, will be on hand to address concerns expressed by local residents during the day.

In his comments, Senator Isakson encouraged his constituents to come and talk with his representatives about any issues concerning the federal government, legislation or federal agencies such as Veterans' Affairs, the IRS, Medicare, Medicaid or the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services.

"This open office day will help ensure that the views, concerns, and local efforts of all Georgians are reflected in the operation of our office," said Isakson.

As part of the field staff, Norton and Bobbitt are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities in their region and acting as representatives for the senator when he is unable to personally attend events in North Georgia and the CSRA.
