Sydney Carlyle Thornton celebrated her eighth birthday on February 25 with a "Glamour Girl" party at Classic Cuts Beauty Salon. The air was full of hairspray, nail polish and powder as the girls were treated to makeovers complete with new hairdos, manicures and make-up.

She presented each of the girls with "Bling-Bling" purses that she, her little sister, Synclaire and her mom made. Each girl's purse had their name painted on the front and were filled with lip gloss, fingernail polish, make-up and other beauty supplies.

The party continued at Papa's Pizza where more family and friends joined the fun. After everyone finished with lunch and Sydney blew out her candles, she opened all of her wonderful gifts.

Sydney would like to send a very special "Thank You" to Mrs. Amberly (Bentley) and Mrs. Louisa (Rickerson) for doing the makeovers for her party. She would also like to thank all the others that helped her celebrate and made her eighth birthday so special.
