Walton to speak at Macedonia UMC revival services
Macedonia United Methodist Church on Highway 80 in Thomson will hold a Spring Revival at 7:30 p.m. beginning Sun., March 26, 2006, and continuing through Wed., March 29.
The revival will kick off on Sunday night with a covered dish dinner in the Family Life Center at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to bring a dish and join in this time of delicious food and wonderful fellowship.
The worship service will begin at 7:30 each night with guest evangelist Rev. Donald F. Walton of Oak Grove, Missouri. Rev. Walton is no stranger to the area and those who have heard him will agree that he is a dynamic speaker. Rev. Walton was born in Lincoln County, Georgia, and graduated from Lincoln County High, North Georgia Technical School, Florida Baptist College, Louisiana College and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Over a twentyone year period, he pastured churches in Florida, Louisiana and Missouri. Rev. Walton has been a full-time evangelist for the past twelve years. He is past president of the Fellowship of Missouri Baptist Evangelists. He has led the camp meeting services at Fountain Campground on several occasions and has conducted revivals in area churches. He and his wife, Lauren, have three sons and six grandchildren.
In addition to the inspiring messages from Rev. Walton, there will be special music each evening.
Join us at Macedonia for this time of spiritual revival. Macedonia UMC is located on Highway 80 North (Washington Highway) just beyond the Camak Exit on I-20 (next door to the UPS terminal).
