The home of Thomas Garnett on the Metasville Road was destroyed by fire Monday, March 20. When firefighters arrived on the scene at about 12 noon, the structure was fully engulfed in flames. The source of the fire is believed to be the kitchen stove. Garnett was not at home at the time of the incident. Responding to the fire were Midway VFD, Loco VFD, Lincoln County F-R 1, Lincoln County EMS, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, and Rayle EMC.
