E. Frank Peeler

E. Frank Peeler, 80, of McCormick Hwy., entered into rest on Friday, December 23, 2005 at Westlake Manor in Augusta, Georgia.

Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 24 at Double Branches Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Keith Etheridge officiating.

Mr. Peeler, a native of Lincoln County, was the son of the late Osto and Maggie Hastings Peeler. He had lived in Lincoln County all of his life and was a member of Double Branches Baptist Church. Following the attack on Pearl Harbor, Mr. Peeler served in the U.S. Naval Reserves and assisted in the reconstruction of that military installation.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Marzee Jackson Peeler; a son, James Peeler, and wife Patsy of Carollton, Ga.; a daughter, Judy Peeler of Evans, Ga.; a brother, William (Bill) Peeler of Morganton, N.C.; two sisters, Lounette Reese of Lincolnton and Sara Jane Goldman of Thomson, Ga.; a grandson, Patrick Peeler, and wife Tina; and a great-grandson, Blake Peeler.

Memorials may be made to Double Branches Baptist Cemetery Fund or Alzheimers Association.

Beggs Funeral Home, Lincolnton, was in charge of arrangements.
