Lillian Chafin Ivey
Mrs. Lillian Chafin Ivey, 82, entered into rest on Monday, October 31, 2005 at Athens Heritage House in Athens, Georgia.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2 at Lincolnton United Methodist Church with Revs. John W. Pike, Jr. and John M. Rhodes officiating. Interment followed at Lincolnton City Cemetery.
Mrs. Ivey was a life long resident of Lincolnton and the daughter of the late George Thomas and Annie Albea Chafin. She was a member of Lincolnton United Methodist Church and the Louise Rees Circle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Ivey, Jr.; a son, Donald Hill Ivey; a sister, Edna Frazier; and three brothers, George Thomas Chafin, Wayne Chafin and Willard Chafin.
Survivors include two daughters, Dianne I. Morgan and husband, Jim of Greenwood, S.C. and Darlene I. Butler and husband, Marion of Watkinsville, Ga.; four grandchildren, David, Catherine, Brian and Anna Butler; one sister, Annie Kate Norman; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were her nephews, Tom Chafin, Barry Frazier, Gene Frazier, Mike Frazier, Fred Norman and Gerald Norman. Honorary escorts were the ladies of the Louise Rees Circle.
