Matheson, McGill to exchange vows in ceremony Nov. 5

Mr. and Mrs. James Christopher Matheson of Sylvania announce the engagement of their daughter, Margaret Elizabeth to Maxey Lee McGill, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Curtis McGill of Snellville.

Miss Matheson is a 1996 graduate of Screven County High School and a 2000 graduate of the University of Georgia where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Education. She received a Master of Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia in 2002. She is currently employed as a teacher at Mount Vernon Elementary School in Gainesville, Georgia.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roderick McLeod Clifton, Sr. of Lyons, Mrs. Maxine Tucker Matheson of Lyons and the late Mr. Julius Daniel Matheson.

Mr. McGill is a 1998 graduate of Brookwood High School in Snellville. He is a 2003 graduate of the University of Georgia where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Soil Science. He is currently employed as a soil scientist with KW Soils, LLC, Alto, Georgia.

He is the grandson of Mr. E. L. Rainey of Stone Mountain, the late Mrs. Genevieve Hartness Rainey, Mrs. Elizabeth Bevill McGill of Lincolnton and the late Mr. Eugene Hall McGill, Sr.

The wedding is planned for 12 noon on Saturday, November 5, 2005 at Chateau Elan Winery & Resort in Braselton, Georgia.
