Norwood calls for all Americans to help assist hurricane victims

2005-09-08 / News

U. S. Representative Charlie Norwood today continued the call for all Americans to exhaust every possible effort in assisting the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

“The magnitude of this disaster only continues to grow,” says Norwood. “Unlike previous hurricane and flooding catastrophes in which conditions gradually improve as the floodwaters subside, this tragedy seems to worsen.” “The President is correct in that current relief efforts are inadequate,” says Norwood. “Every federal agency needs to redouble their efforts, along with every state agency, and each of us as private citizens. This is truly a national disaster of an unparalleled scope.”
