Training session held for decontamination unit

Personnel with the Lincoln County OES and Rescue learned how to operate the agency’s new mobile decontamination unit at a special training session held recently at the OES office on School Street. The decontamination center and a Ford F-250 truck (inset) to pull it with were purchased with $119,006 in federal funds from the Office for Domestic Preparedness. Practicing putting the unit together are: (l-r) Byron Hogan, extrication technician/firefighter; Chuck Carrol, firefighter; Brandon Reed, EMT student; and Jeff Winfrey, rescue unit volunteer.
