Ga. State Patrol investiages two accidents here
      State Troopers from the Washington Post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated two traffic crashes during the month of February in Lincoln County. Sergeant First Class Andrews said the traffic crashes resulted in two injuries.

LWREA invites high school seniors to apply for honorarium
      High school seniors from Lincoln and Wilkes Counties may apply for an honorarium sponsored by Lincoln- Wilkes Retired Educators Association (LWREA). Students who apply must be planning to attend a college or vocational school for the 2010-2011 academic year and must write a 250-500 word essay on the topic, “The Importance of Furthering My Education.”

FSA targets funds for SDA individuals who want to operate farms
      The Georgia State Farm Service Agency (FSA) announced the availability of $9.5 million in direct loan funds for Socially Disadvantaged (SDA) individuals who want to purchase or operate a family-size farm in fiscal year 2010. In fiscal year 2009, which ended September 30, 2009, Georgia Farm Loan Programs made 116 direct SDA loans totaling more than $7.3 million.
